The 2026 season is finally approaching, and it’s time for us to complete our hosting team for the summer.

As a host at Maritiman, you will be our face to the public and meet our guests in daily operations. You will be responsible for our cash register, perform basic maintenance on the facility, conduct children's parties, lead guided tours, and assist our guests with questions or information about our facility. This year's season starts on April 2nd, followed by a spring where we are open Thursday to Sunday and during the Easter break, and then we can enjoy three long summer months where we are open every day of the week. After summer, there will be an autumn where we are open Thursday to Sunday and during the autumn break until November 1st when we close for winter. Weekend work is therefore required, as well as evenings when we have evening events on board.

For these positions, we are looking for someone who is comfortable speaking in front of groups in both Swedish and English, who can work with both adults and children, and who can easily absorb and convey large amounts of information. It is an advantage if you have previous work or educational experience as a guide or at sea, as well as cash register experience or speak another language. Experience in cafés is also a plus, as this skill may allow you to help out in our café when needed. However, the most important thing is your personal qualities: we are looking for someone who wants to share curiosity and knowledge with others and understands what good hospitality means. Therefore, you should be outgoing, positive, and flexible. When we at Maritiman conduct program activities, we set high standards for ourselves and are driven by the desire to make everyone who comes to us as curious and enthusiastic about what we talk about as we are.
